ABSTRACT

MASYELINO, A.K., 2020, STUDY OF VACCINE STORAGE IN THE


PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER IN BOYOLALI’S URBAN AREA, THESIS,
FACULTY OF PHARMACY, SETIA BUDI UNIVERSITY, SURAKARTA.

Quality vaccines are one of the supports for the success of the
immunization program at the public health center. To get a quality vaccine must
pay attention to vaccine storage in accordance with the conditions and indicators
that have been set. This study purpose to review the storage of vaccines in the
public health center in Boyolali’s urban area with the aim of providing benefits in
improving the quality of services, especially in the immunization program.
This study is non-experimental which used descriptive and observative
research designs. The data examined are damaged vaccine, expired vaccine and
cold chain vaccine storage conditions. Data obtained by looking at documents and
observations directly at 5 public health centers in Boyolali’s urban area. The data
is then reviewed using standard indicators set by Kemenkes RI and JICA’s 2010
and regulation of Menteri Kesehatan RI No. 12 of 2017.
Based on the results of the study it was concluded that the percentage of
expired vaccine values in the public health center of Boyolali's urban area is 0%,
the percentage of vaccine values damaged in the public health center of Boyolali's
urban area is 0% which is in accordance with the standards set by Kemenkes and
JICA in 2010, and the conditions of cold chain vaccine storage are included in the
good category in accordance with indicators established by Permenkes No.12 of
2017.
