When used over long periods of time, facing and gear oil will be degraded due to aging, which may cause a decrease in braking force The decreased braking force may cause a lift to move sideways during operation or fall if worst comes to worst, which is very dangerous. Remember that facing is a consumable part and so, it shall be replaced at regular intervals. * Facing means what paper friction material is stuck to the both faces of core metal (iron plate).
