The servitization mapping -assignment (providing a short report)

The servitization mapping canvas is used to map existing product-service offerings and reveals a solution
space in which new service offerings can be created.

It is a graphical template describing three segments of stakeholders (y-axis) and five levels of service
sophistication (xaxis). (you will find the whitepapers connected with this in devMoodle.)

 The different stakeholder segments help to systematically map current product and service
offerings of the company, clients and competitors. All offerings are categorized into one of the five
levels of service sophistication.

Your job is to evaluate the level of service sophistication for your chosen company.

 Existing product and service offerings in the market have a different level of service sophistication.
To determine the right level, it is important to evaluate in what way the product or service provides
value to the core processes of the client.

The outcome:

The canvas will be described with the explanation and deeper understanding (micro / macro environment)
of the company’s strategy. Use relevant theoretical background material in your work instead of only
leaning on this canvas model. It is necessary to also understand the competitive environment as well as the
broader context where the company is operating in and from.
