Borie DaFeice ‘Superintendent Pat Noble December 2021 Geod afternoon Camilla Families: The schoo! would ike to inform you about the Rapid Antigen Test ks that are being sent home with your chid (ren) prior to the winter break, this is a part of the Ministy of Education's “Targeted COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Screening to Keep Students Safe.” (On December 16th, 2021, every student wil be provided with a Rapid Antigen Test kt. These kit wil be handed to your child during thelr ast period i ‘The kit contains 5 tests which are tobe done over the 2-week break, with the last test being done the day before your child retums to school. These tests should oniy be used for children without symptoms of COVID-19, i your chid develops symptoms during the winter break, they should get a PCR test. For testing locations, please visit COVID-19 testing locations (ontarlo.ca) This testing initiatve is in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Peel Pubic Health and is, intended to keep cur students safe during the break and enable them to return to school healthy and ready for another term of learning. We have included a letter from Peel Public Heaith for your information withthe tes kits and guidance that will help to explain the process and safe use. Please read the attachment carefully. We would ask that you share with your child that the kis not be opened and should be handed directly to the Parenvguarcian when they return from school. This message wil also be shared with students at school. All test kits will be sent home with students, in their backpacks on December 16th, 2021.
