Thinking About Nothing

Boredom! Boredom! Boredom! Not always

you will be busy doing something. At times
people even face boredom and some don’t
prefer going through that feeling of thinking
about nothing. According to them it can just
be depressing as well.

It is often said that boredom helps you to give

a deep thought towards topics you never
considered talking or thinking about; it also
helps you to identify yourself as a person and
provides you with your “me time” and helps
you to examine the world around you. On the
other hand, it even helps in understanding
changes in your surroundings.

Hitherto, parents nowadays try to enroll their

kids into various activities like sports, art and
music to keep the children active and so that
they don’t end up being a couch potato.
Therefore, a common advice given against
boredom is; try getting in touch with people
who share common interests with you. In fact,
living in a generation full of advanced
technologies makes it hard for one to think
deeply; unless they are bored.

As J. R. Rim once said “Your biggest battles

internally happen in boredom.” That’s
because it’s hard to notice but when someone
is bored it even helps them discover their
feelings better and get a clear idea regarding
their doubts and helps in reflecting and
understanding you past mistakes. Experts
usually advice to understand the logic behind
why you are bored and how you feel. They
even ask to not ignore the voices in your head
that help you understand your mistakes.

Moreover, it helps you to understand and see

through both sides in a situation to give you a
clear idea on what’s right. Boredom helps you
become more imaginative and helps in
polishing your thinking well. Lastly, it allows
you to create a new perspective on situations.
