The story of abu talha

One of prophet companion whose the corpse still undamaged due to diligently

fasting when still alive. Abu talha always fasting a while participated alongside holy prophet

in the battle of badr.Based on to the atsar, He always fasting except the day that forbidden

to fasting. He still alive 30 years after the holy prophet died. Even though he is getting older,

abu talha still participated jihad in the way to Allah.

Based on what dr.abdurrahman rafaat al basya wrote in the book the great of

companion prophet, abu talha travelled to one place to another place to glorify his religion.

One popular story is when abu talha battled in the sea during the time of caliph usman bin

affan. He is getting ready to leave with the moslem troops, but his son said that "may Allah

have mercy on you, father. Now you are very old. You already companion holy prophet, abu

bakr, and umar. Why don’t you just rest and let us do jihad". But abu talha replies "surely to

Allah we belong and to him shall we return. Allah suggest us to go to jihad. Either young or

old.

Abu talha leave for jihad. He is very old in that time. During on the ship in the middle

of the ocean with the moslem troops, he fell unwell and died. The moslem troops tried to

find an island to bury his body but until 7 days, they not find any islands. But it was shocking

that the corpse of abu talha not like commonly corpse which smelly. He just like sleeping old

man which the body did not change at all. In the middle of the ocean, the moslem troops

decided to buried abu talha body in a place which far from humans.
