1 Fundamentals
1.1 What are Exchange Components?
1.2 How do Exchange Components differ?
2 NEW-Components
3 ReMan-Components
4 ReBuilt-Components
These are:
• NEU-Components.
• ReMan-Components.
• ReBuilt-Components.
• Used Components
(not currently available)
Your customer counseling is very important for se-
lecting the correct exchange components!
2 Conditions
2.1 Exchange Component Program
2.2 Ordering Exchange Components
2.3 Return Guidelines (Used Parts)
2.4 Credit Memo Preparation
1 Method
1.1 Execution:
The customer/dealer returns the examined used part
(see Return Acceptance Guidelines) along with the
Return Request to Liebherr. Used parts shipped to
the Return Depot are examined again by Liebherr.
2.2.2 ReBuilt-Components
Important Note:
ReBuilt-Components are available only in limited
quantities. When an item is ordered under position
"Ident. No Rebuilt" Liebherr is not obligated to sup-
ply a line item under position "Ident.No. ReMan" or
"Ident. No NEW" for the same cost .
Important Instruction:
Return standards for diesel engines, hydraulic com-
ponents, transmissions and axles, etc. are defined in
the applicable chapters.
Our dealers are to inspect used parts accordingly
and prepare the return shipment document as a
quality source document. If the standards for prepa-
ration of a core credit memo are not met at the time
of accepting the used part, the dealer is to scrap the
part on site to avoid unnecessary handling and ship-
ping cost.
Important Instruction:
Seal off all openings/connections properly with suit-
able caps.

(no burn marks and heavy traces of corro-
sion).vPart does not show marks from overheating
(visible discoloration approx. 400 to 500 deg. C).
• Component is assembled and complete
(per Spare Parts Illustration).
