CIRCULAR

Government Resolution GAD No.CDR-1096-636-Inquiry Cell(Part-1), dated 05-09-2005,


inter alia provides that anomymous/pseudonymous applications against Government
officers/employees should not at all be entertained and that the same should be filed straightaway.
However, the Home Department Circular No SVC-1064-22366-H dated 25-03-1968 continue to
have the provision for conducting preliminary inquiry even into the anonymous/pseudonymous
applications with a view to removing this discrepancy, the Government is pleased to resolve that
the sub para (2) of para-1 of Home Department’s Circular No SVC-1064-22366-H dated 25-03-
1968 should be treated to have been deleted with immediate effect. This means that if any
anonymous/pseudonymous applications is received, it will not be necessary for the concerned
Department/Office to consult the Vigilance Commission before filing such application.
2. This issues with concurrence of General Administration Department dated 15-10-2010 on
this file of even number.
