Have you heard the story of a young man who fights a giant with an unexpected
thing?
He fights the giant with rock using a sling.
Sis, I can tell from their face they all curious, don't you girls?
Well, without any further due let's just start the story, shall we?

Once upon a time, there was a young man who has a beautiful voice named
Dawud, its a gift from God Allah swt.
Once he read the firman from Allah swt with his beautiful voice, people will
stop doing their job and come surround him, listen to him, the birds also come
and listen to him. The hill, the mountain, the wind became quiet because of his
voice and the message behind it.
Masha Allah...

One day, the king of Israel, King Thalut has announced that there would be a
war between King Thalut and King Jalut. Everyone was scared of King Jalut
because he has a huge body just like a giant, he is strong, he also really good at
a fight.
When Dawud heard about it, he wished he could join the war, but he is too
young. Well, that's ok because some of his brothers already join the army, so it's
not that sad.

When the war almost began, Dawud has told by his parents to deliver food to
his brothers at the war.
"Dawud, come here. Would you help me send this food to your brothers at the
war?" asked his mother.
"Of course, mom. With my pleasure."
"Thank you, son. Be careful."
On the way to the war place, he pleased to Allah swt for safety. When he finally
got there, he saw King Jalut challenge all the army of King Thalut to fight him.
"Send out one man to fight me. If I win, all of your armies become my slave,
but if I'm beaten, my army will be your slave."
Also, King Thalut announces to who could fight King Jalut until die, he will
give him the half of the kingdom and married his daughter. Everyone was
interested but also scared, so nobody volunteered.
Dawud finally found his brothers and give the food to them,
"Brother, here is your food. By the way, why don't you volunteered to fight the
giant?"
"Fight him? HAHAHAHAHA you're so funny. He is really strong, he could
even fight 10 of us at the same time." said his brother.
"But he doesn't scare me. I'll fight him."

When Dawud said that, one of the King's messengers heard it and told the king,
"There is one person in the camp who's not afraid to fight Jalut."
"Who? Bring him to me!" said the King.
When he saw Dawud, he was shocked, "How can a boy possibly fight someone
like Jalut? He even three times bigger than him, he'd cut you to pieces!"
"I don't think so," Dawud said, "I've killed bears bigger than him with my sling.
And besides, Allah swt will look after all of us. I'm sure Allah swt would help
me win."
"Then take my sword."
"No, thank you. I need nothing but my sling."

So Dawud went to fight King Jalut. In the distance while he collects the rock, he
could see King Jalut waiting.
About three minutes past, Dawud is already near with King Jalut. Right after
that, King Jalut shouted, "Send out a man to fight me!" and Dawud answered,
"I'll fight you!"
"You, you only a boy!" and the King swung his sword over his head. But
Dawud stood his ground and pray to Allah swt. As the King bore down on him,
he carefully placed a rock in his leather sling and whirled it around his head.
Once, twice, three times he whirled the rock, then let it fly. At terrific speed, it
struck Jalut right between the eyes. King Jalut fell down like a great tree. Silent
for a second until they realise that he was dead.

King Thalut and the army were really grateful. They cheered for Dawud.
"You have saved our people from slavery!" cried King Thalut, "From today,
you're the commander of my army, and you shall live at the castle with me."
So Dawud stayed with King Thalut, and as the years passed, he did marry the
king's daughter. And eventually became king himself.
