province or community.

B. Manalangin bago kumain.C. Courtship.
D. Living with parents.
E. Fiesta.
2. In 300- 500 words, compare those practices to the observations discussed by
Plasencia in his article.

When compared to the Spanish Friar Juan de Plasencia's article "Relacion de las
Costumbres deLos Tagalos," there are many practices, rituals, and traditions that are
quite similar to my province and town. But the biggest distinction is that our province
is primarily agricultural, although I believe that pre-Colonial Filipinos also engage in
agriculture since they require food such as rice or corn. We constantly say tabi – tabi
po in our province so as not to enrage the Enkantos and Nuno. It is a superstitious
belief similar to those held by pre-Colonial Filipinos who believed in supernatural
creatures. When it comes to weddings, there is also the tradition of the husband
traveling to the house of the bride's parents to express respect and thanks to the
parents, and sometimes there are also grooms who pay dowry as additional proof of
providing a good life for their daughter.Sto. in my municipality In Domingo, Nueva
Ecija, there are many unconventional healers who employ potions and herbs to help
their patients recover from their illnesses, and they sometimes start rituals as well.
Farmers in our province also believe in superstitions, such as the notion that if there
are stars in the sky at night, there will be a bountiful harvest in their fields, and that
many are selling and purchasing anting-anting in our area because they believe it will
protect them from future threats. The rituals, customs, and traditions of the pre-
colonial Philippines have been preserved by our forefathers and are still practiced in
modern culture. Those habits have been retained in my province, which I appreciate.
It's a good thing that the old pre-Colonial Filipino values have survived the test of
time, because they represent an important element of our Filipino identity that we
should be proud of.
