The computed correlation value was interpreted using the following scale :

Size of Correlation Interpretation

0.00 - ±0.20 Negligible Correlation

±0.21 - ±0.40 Low Correlation

±0.40 - ±0.60 Substantial Correlation

±0.61 - ±0.80 High Correlation

To determine futher whether there is a significant relationship between customers' perception and
expection in bar services of star hotel, the t-test for the correlation coefficient was used:

t = r √ N - 2 / 1- r²

Where :

t = computed t-value

r = correlation coefficient

N = total number of respondents

The computed t-value was compared to the tabular t-value at 5% Level of significance with the specific
degree of freedom .
