I LOVE summer, and always have. My favorite thing about summer is the opportunity it holds for ministry to our children and youth. There is not enough space here to tell the amazing experiences I have had during past summers at various events. This summer, I am excited that YOU can also be a part of summer programs at FCC and share some of these experiences! 25 communities and more than 300 participants will be arriving in Stillwater on July 25th for Mission Camp 2011 The Sequel. This is our second year to host, and it will be the last, at least for a while as Mission Camp 2012 is already scheduled to be held in El Reno next year. Mission Camp 2011s schedule is coming together. Each night, groups will come to FCC for worship. Monday, the participants will spend the day getting to know one another. Then for the rest of the week, they will head out to do mission work for a variety of organizations including: Habitat for Humanity and its Restore, Rise School, Life Center, Saville Center, Christmas in July, Mobile Meals, MPower, The Humane Society, Red Cross, Kids Against Hunger and more. It is going to be an awesome week. I was excited about it last year and had really high expectations, and then I was amazed that it exceeded all of them. This church never ceases to amaze me! This community of faith has to rank among the best at stepping up and meeting needs. Last year, we needed a lot of help with meals, providing hospitality, registration, worship, and mission teams. FCC did not fall short of providing that help. Not only did people help serve those who came, but they went above and beyond with a smile on their face! Once again, we have high expectations for Mission Camp 2011. There is LOTS that needs to be done. I am confident that once again FCC will rise to the task, and I cant wait to see what we can accomplish together, working as a united team. If you want to be a part of Mission Camp, make sure and attend the meeting this Sunday (details on the next page). Our big kids arent the only ones getting in on the summer action. This Sunday, FCC will host our first Family of Faith Night. Children, youth, and adults are invited to a pizza buffet at Hideaway Pizza, followed by an evening swim at the Colvin. This is an opportunity to invite those who might be searching for a church home to come and check out the friendly folks at FCC. It is also an opportunity for all you friendly folk to show up (details on the next page). When you drive around town, you may notice that many churches do the same VBS. They are fun and we may go back to doing the same thing. But for this year, we are trying something new. You are invited to be involved. Share a little Hideaway pizza and some friendly poolside conversation. How tough is that? People are searching for God, and they are looking in all kinds of places. Who knows, maybe this summer someone will find Him living in YOU! Believe me, it doesnt get any better than that.

BUSY BUT FUN DAY, SUNDAY, JUNE 26TH!

ALL CHURCH VOLUNTEER MEETING If you were not a part of Mission Camp 2010, you were in the minority. Dont let that happen again! We heard nothing but positive responses following last years event. This will be our last year to host Mission Camp (2012 has already been scheduled in El Reno). We want to make this event even bigger and better than last year. We need so much help to be able to pull this off! My guess is that youll have as much fun as the camp participants. On Sunday, lunch will be served in the Small Fellowship Hall immediately following the Contemporary Service. At least come and hear about all that will be happening, and maybe youll find something only YOU can do. We need volunteers before, during and after the event. We need those who like to work behind the scenes and those who want to make sure their friendly faces are seen. Following lunch, we will be giving a camp overview and then dividing into small groups based on areas of interest. We currently have 25 communities represented with more than 300 participants so PLEASE ATTEND AND CONSIDER HELPING THOSE WHO WILL BE COMING HERE TO SERVE STILLWATER. FAMILY OF FAITH EVENT, SUNDAY AT 5PM You are more than welcome to invite your friends and neighbors to this event; it is open to all who would normally participate in Vacation Bible School. Have you been waiting for an opportunity to show off our friendly church? Have you been looking for an opportunity to invite that family searching for a church home? Or maybe you just want to have a great evening of food and fun with your family. WELL, THIS IS THE EVENT FOR YOU! We are meeting at Hideaway Pizza at 5:00pm and then will head to the Colvin Center pool. Wear a swim suit (under your clothes), bring a towel and join us for a night of fun. There is no charge, but we do need you to sign up. Call or stop by the church office and see Tracy to get your name on the list.
