2.5 Hydraulic actuator with spring (to close)

NOTE! Spring actuators must be unloaded before disassembling the coupling between actuator
piston rod and valve stem. This is easiest done by crosswise untighten the screws between
the yoke and the valve. Before loosening the screws make sure the actuator and the yoke
is secured with a hoist.
1. Secure the actuator with a hoist and sling (see 2.1).
2. Close the hydraulic supply and depressurize the system.
3. Disconnect the position transmitter.
NOTE! Do not disconnect the hydraulic connections if not necessary. This to prevent unnecessary
work.
4. Loosen the screws and disconnect the rotation stop.
5. Loosen the screws and remove the coupling between actuator piston rod and valve stem.
6. Loosen screws and remove actuator and yoke from valve.
