2.3 Pneumatic actuator with spring (to close)

NOTE! Spring actuators must be unloaded before disassembling the coupling between actuator
piston rod and valve stem. This is easiest done by crosswise untightening the screws
between the yoke and the valve. Before loosening the screws make sure the actuator and
the yoke is secured with a hoist.
1. Secure the actuator with a hoist and sling (see 2.1).
2. Disconnect all power supply (if any).
3. Insulate the positive pole to prevent short circuit.
4. Close the air supply.
5. Drain the system from air.
6. Disconnect the pneumatic connections.
7. Loosen the screws and disconnect the rotation stop.
8. Loosen the screws and remove the coupling between actuator piston rod and valve stem.
9. Loosen the screws and remove actuator and yoke from valve.
