PATRON SANTIAGO APÓSTOL

My grandmother is from a small town in hidalgo called ixcuicuila.

In Ixcuicuila the patronal feast is held in honor of the patron Santiago Apóstol, whose
celebration is on July 25. For the holidays the mañanitas are sung, there are popular dances,
masses and processions, this event happens every years.
Another of the traditions that take place is the burning of the bulls, which are figures made
with pyrotechnics.
The town's inhabitants come to the celebration, as well as visitors from nearby towns.
