Ma’am:

I am writing this letter to inform you that I intend to discontinue my studies at PNU-Mindanao
Graduate School.

In 2016, I enrolled at your school to study Master of Arts in English Language Teaching (MA-
ELT), and until now, I have not finished the course. To be honest, I cannot afford to study. I
have been financially unstable for the last few years due to my mother’s health condition. She
has chronic kidney disease and is currently being treated through hemodialysis thrice a week.
We all have priorities in life, and my primary concern right now is my mother. Given her
situation, I would rather pay for her incoming dialysis sessions than continue paying for my
studies. After all, family comes first before anything else.

I have thoroughly appreciated your services in the past years, and I am especially thankful for
my professors’ knowledge and wisdom. I would be very grateful if you could send me written
confirmation to inform me of my status. It would also be a big help if you could check my
balance in the Accounting Office so I could clear my obligations.
