Complementary feeding (MP ASI) is very important for babies after 6 months,
since breast milk alone is no longer sufficient nutrients that is needed by the baby.
In this case ,the knowledge of complementary feeding mothers can influence
the provision of complementary feeding her baby. The purpose of this study is to
analyze the relationship between mothers' knowledge of complementary feeding
by providing complementary feeding in infants the baby age 6-12 months in
Joyosuran Surakarta.
This method was an observational analytic study with cross sectional design. The
sampling technique used is total sampling . There are78 respondents.
The results showed that the group of mothers with high knowledge were 42
(53.8%) and the provision of appropriate complementary feeding as many as 63
(80.8%). The results were analyzed by chi-square at α = 0.05 and p <0.05.

The conclusion of this study is there is correlation between the knowledge of

mothers about complementary feeding with complementary feeding in infants
aged 6-12 months in Joyosuran Surakarta.
