How To Install Mac OS X Lion on PC

Here how to install Mac OS X Lion on PC, its little difficult than Snow leopard or leopard but this guide to make it easy. Note : This is for education only, im not guaranted will work on your PC too. My Specifications : - Motherboard : Asus P5GZ-MX - Processor : Core2Duo 1.4 GHz - Memory : 4 GB - Graphics Card : Radeon X1600 (71c2) - Sound : ALC 883 (onboard) Here what you need: Mac OS X Lion image file (dmg)

Existing Snow Leopard or Leopard XPC Bootloader USB Drives for XPC Boot loader and Restore Mac OS X Lion Installation

Step 1. Restore Mac OS X Lion installation to your HDD or USB Drive 1. Boot into your existing Snow leopard or Leopard. 2. Create 1 Partition 8 GB of size if you want restore to HDD (name it Lion) or 8GB USB Drive if you want to restore to Usb. 3. Mount Mac OS X Lion image file (.dmg) and Right Click and Show package Contents on Install Mac OS X file. Navigate to SharedSupport folder and mount InstallESD.dmg file, find and mount BaseSystem.dmg.
4. Open Disk Utility (Applications/Utility folder), and click on Lion Partition then click

restore tab. Drag and drop BaseSystem.dmg (left) to Source and Lion to Destination then click restore. (see ss below).

5. Open Finder and navigate to Lion or USB partition (Restore drive) and go to Systems > Installation folder then delete Package alias (shortcut). 6. Open new finder and go to Mac OS X Install ESD and copy Packages folder and go back to first finder (restore drive) then paste.
7. Download FakeSMC.kext and copy to the System -> Library -> Extentions folder on

USB drive or Partition Restore Drive. 8. Open Terminal (Aplications/Utility) Type : sudo -s (type password here) chown -R 0:0 (drag and drop Fakesmc.kext here) and press enter chmod -R 755 (drag and drop Fakesmc.kext here) and press enter

Step 2. Installing XPC Bootloader 1. Boot into your existing Snow leopard or Leopard.
2. Download XPC Bootloader from here

3. Insert New USB Drive (i use 2GB USB Drive) 4. open XPC Boot Prepare Tool and install it to usb drive (it will reformat and flash your drive, backup important data first) 5. copy efi folder and Efildr20 file to usb drive 6. Done Step 3. Installing Mac OS X Lion 1. Boot your computer via XPC Bootloader (USB Drive) 2. you sould see a white line for a second. 3. Press M and set boot flags : arch=i386 -v (without quote) and exit 4. Select your Lion or USB restore drive. 5. Once the installation loads, select your language and continue normal installtion of mac os x lion. Step 4. Post Installation 1. Boot into your existing Snow leopard or Leopard. 2. Go to Installed Mac OS X Lion Drive (not lion restore drive) and navigate to System/Library/CoreServices folder and delete PlatformSupport.plist 3. Copy FakeSMC.Kext to System/Library/Extensions on Installed Lion Drive (not restore drive)
4. Open Terminal and type :

sudo -s (type password here) chown -R 0:0 (drag and drop Fakesmc.kext here from step 4.3) and press enter chmod -R 755 (drag and drop Fakesmc.kext here from step 4.3) and press enter 5. Reboot and boot your computer from XPC Bootloader (USB drive) and select Installed Lion partition. 6. Done Knowing Issues Install Lion on PC Stuck on MBR Start! message Change Bios setting Serial port = disable and unplug then plug again your USB drive and then restart your computer. Stuck on white line or blank screen just wait a few second, if still exist do the same steps Stuck on MBR Start! Stuck on Loading drivers Make sure you do all Step 1 is right and no usb device plug on your usb port except USB Mouse & Keyboard. Regards

XfX radeon 5770 1gb working great. Noticed in your guide that platformsupport plist is to be trashed. Its the first time I have seen this out of any other guide. It worked anyway. March 26, 2011 at 6:23 pm I didn't get any bootloader working on my machine. I tried installing iBOOT and XPC using Mac OS and Windows. Always with the same result: I'm stuck on a black screen with a white underscore ant the top left of the screen. It's not flashing, it just freezes and nothing else happens. Does anyone have an advice for me? I already tried the "known issues". The only option in my BIOS that comes close is "Onboard Serial Port 1" with six options: Disabled 3F8/IRQ4 2F8/IRQ3 3E8/IRQ4 2E8/IRQ3 Auto None of these options solved my problem. I tried two different USB-Sticks (formatted with FAT32). Still stuck on the white unserscore Please help Reply

One thing I notice is that my USB mouse blacks out. I do think I have disabled serial ports in my bios.
