1. After undergoing Undergraduate thesis writing, how do you define research in your own viewpoint?

- Research is fundamentally a common sense approach to trying to expand our understanding of the
world by defining topics we don't yet understand, thinking of ways to examine them, and checking our
ideas against the results we acquire.

2. What is a thesis proposal?

- A thesis proposal is a document that specifies the thesis topic, defines the topics that will be addressed
in the thesis, and demonstrates why the topic justifies further investigation. It should identify an issue
and suggest a remedy for that problem.

2.1 What is the relevance of your study to public administration?

- The relevance of my study to the public administration will help improve the state of governance of the
institution amidst health crisis. Furthermore, my study will help create the redirection towards a much
better institution. My study applied the indicators of good governance to practice in the office in the
new normal situations which is relevant to the public administration. My study will also enrich literature
on academic governance.

2.2 Why do you need to provide theories and related literature to your study?

- It enables to create a study framework based on specific concepts and theories. Allows to select the
most appropriate approach for the research in order to assess the strengths and shortcomings of
previous research. By comparing the findings to current research, and can increase the importance of
the findings.

3. What is the importance of an instrument in a study?

- It allows others to verify and or follow on with reported results due to standardization of
measurements. For example when someone reports a reaction with a new element, many others want
to do the same experiment to verify the discovery. Improvements in measurements through testing
research.

4. What are needed in the;

4.1) crafting of the thesis proposal,


- Thinking about the topics you want to address through the research process and making it precise
within your context is the best method to start the thesis proposal. The title of your study should be
specific and not too vague, which is one of the most crucial things to bear in mind while you compose
your thesis proposal. You should be able to explain why this particular piece of research is important.
You begin by deciding on a question that you believe requires an answer. You conduct a thorough
assessment of the literature on the subject and contemplate a method that would at least begin to
answer the question and that you might be able to implement.

4.2) pre oral defense, and

- Prepare yourself academically, mentally, and physically for your presentation. You don't need to
memorize all of the studies cited in your thesis for the pre-oral, but you do need to know the specifics of
the few key studies that form the foundation of your research. You also need to be familiar with larger
issues like basic assumptions, theoretical framework, paradigm, cross-cultural perspectives, and so on.
More importantly, you must have a thorough awareness of the nature of your study problem as well as
the fundamental concerns that it raises. You may carry relevant resources with you for easy reference
throughout your defense, such as key publications, computer print-outs of results, and so on.

4.3) conducting a study?

- It is the process by which someone gathers information from many sources such as literature reviews,
interviews, library approaches, experiments, questionnaires, and observation in order to arrive at facts
relating to a certain subject or problem and draw a conclusion.

5. On the overall, how do you rate your confidence in the pre oral defense using a 1-10 scale? Why?

- From scale 1-10, I rate myself 6 based on the confidence as I've presented myself during our pre oral
defense. For the reason that I knew I did my best to made it and presented my research well during
defense. I did my best to answer the questions that they're asking about my study. I don’t speak too fast
and put an emphasis on what I'm saying, so I don’t sound like monotonous. I face the audience when I
talk and keep an eye contact. I make sure to keep attention to the reactions of the committee.
