CALL LETTER FOR SELECTION IN 148 NDA COURSE


COMMENCING IN JUL 2022

Dear Candidate,

1. Please refer your application for the above mentioned course.

2. You are required to report at 0630 h (Morning) on your scheduled SSB date. This Call Letter along with your
Admit Card would be the authority for you to report to 2 Air Force Selection Board (2 AFSB) for Testing. The same
is to be handed over to the Board on arrival. You must report for the interview on the date, time allotted to you. Late
comers, on any account (inclusive of late running of trains/buses/airplane) will not be admitted for test. You would
be required to show your admit card, call letter and identity proof (preferably AADHAR Card) at the reporting point
(In front of Main Gate of 2 Air Force Selection Board (Mysuru), Chamundi Vihar Complex, Near Nandini Milk
Dairy, Siddhartha Nagar (PO) Mysuru-570011), keep them handy. The first day consists of Phase-II testing which
may last upto 2030hrs. You are advised to take adequate rest and come prepared for a long day of testing. You
would need to be attired appropriately in comfortable dress. You should be mandatorily in possession of double
face mask/ N-95 mask, face shield, pocket sanitizer, hand gloves, water bottle and COVID-19 RT-PCR
negative report OR Final vaccination certificate generated in COWIN app and 2nd dose administered earlier
than 15 days from date of reporting . On arrival, you will be checked for visible symptoms of fever, cough and
cold and COVID-19 RT-PCR negative report for sample given not earlier than 72 hours prior to reporting
time at this Board. In case of any visible symptoms, you will be routed back without testing. In addition, before
reporting at this Board, you must familiarize yourself and follow the latest instructions/ norms/ advisories of your
home state and the state of Karnataka. In case of any requirement of registration on state e-portal, the same must
be done well in time.

3. On arrival at reporting point following would be checked:

(a) Thermal screening and checking of visible symptoms of cough & cold.
(b) Checking of self-certified undertaking regarding COVID-19 and RT-PCR negative test report OR
Final vaccination certificate generated in COWIN app and 2nd dose administered earlier than 15 days from
date of reporting.

Note: You would be escorted to the board only if you meet above requirements, else you would
be routed back from the reporting point.

4. You should satisfy all eligibility criteria as mentioned in the advertisement for the said entry. If you do not meet
the eligibility as per advertisement in employment news or you are not in possession of necessary documents (Listed
in para 6 below), you will not be accepted for tests and will be routed back without any payment of travelling
allowance.

5. You must bring with you the following documents IN ORIGINAL along with 03 Photo copies of the same.

(a) Matriculation /10th Passing certificate and Marks sheet in Original issued by the
state/CBSE/ICSE/University as proof of Date of Birth. Other documents such as exam admit cards/Transfer
Certificates etc will not be accepted as proof of date of birth.

(b) 12th Class Passing certificate and Marks sheet.


(c) Admit Card and Call Letter (In original)
(d) Valid Photo Identity Card of your School/College/ Driving License/Passport/Voter Identity Card/Aadhar
Card.
(e) Certificates of significant achievements, if any (curricular, Extra- curricular activities, sports etc.)
(f) 25 recent colour photographs.
(g) On a paper, write name, appointment, telephone number and complete postal address with Pin Code
of two trustworthy persons/ Gazetted Officers (Not a relative). The persons should know you and vouch for
your character and antecedents.

Note: In case candidate is studying in class 12th in the current academic year he should bring a Bonafide
Certificate from the Principal of their Institute. Specimen copy annexed. In such case, you will be required to
submit original certificate and marks sheet to Recruiting Directorate (NDA ENTRY) Army HQ latest
by 24 JUN 2022.

6. You are to bring along following forms (sent along with this call letter), pre-filled, when reporting for SSB at
this centre. The date on the form will be your date of reporting at 2 AFSB. Go through the instructions to fill the forms
before filling.

(a) Form of Indemnity Bond: If you are below 18 years of age, the Indemnity Bond should be signed by
your natural guardian (Father/Mother) and if your natural guardians are not alive, should be signed by the
legal guardian. Witness must be a person known to the parents/legal guardian who is above 18 years of age.
If candidate is above 18 years of age, Indemnity Bond certificate to be signed by the Candidate. The witness
in this case should be a person above 18 years of age known to the parents/candidate/legal guardian.
Note: Candidates below 18 years of age without proper Indemnity Bond (annexed along with this
call letter) will be routed back without testing.

(b) Declaration Form: Read the instructions before filling.

(c) Journey Particulars: Railway ticket/Bus ticket [for payment of travelling allowances (TA)]. No travel
allowance will be paid without hard copy of the journey ticket. TA will be paid to candidates travelling by
Govt Buses only. If travelled by Air, both hard copy of journey ticket and boarding pass are mandatory
for payment of TA (Amount will be restricted to actual fare equal to 3 AC class of train). No TA is admissible, if
you have already appeared for the same type of entry at any of the Selection Boards. The TA for your
journey will be paid in your bank account only through NEFT/RTGS therefore you have to bring a cancelled
self-cheque/photo copy of bank passbook in support of your bank details. The account should be in the name
of the candidate only (as mentioned in the application form).

(d) Bonafide Certificate: In case candidate is studying in class 12th in the current academic year, he
should bring a Bonafide Certificate from the Principal of their Institute. Specimen copy annexed. In such
case, you will be required to submit original certificate and marks sheet to Recruiting Directorate (NDA
ENTRY) Army HQ latest by 24 JUN 2022.

(e) Candidate Questionnaire: Read the instructions before filling.

(f) Self-certification for COVID-19.

(g) It is mandatory to bring along either one of the following;

(i) Final vaccination certificate generated through CoWin app in case both doses of
vaccination done and 2nd dose administered earlier than 15 days from date of reporting.

(ii) Negative RTPCR report in which sample was given not earlier than 72 hours from the
time of reporting. COVID-19 RT-PCR negative report from authorised laboratory / hospital will be
considered valid for admission. Candidate may also show the soft copy of the Covid-19 RT-PCR
negative report while reporting at this board. This would cater for time delay in getting the test
result and requirement to start your journey to the SSB after giving the test. Candidate should
highlight the date of report and result of the Covid-19 test.
(iii) You should also be in possession of the following:

(a) Sufficient quantity of Masks, Sanitisers, Face Shield and gloves. The same would not
be issued by the board.
(b) At least one pair of white shirt/T-shirt, shorts/trousers/track suit, socks and a pair of
sports shoes. Bring at least one pair of formal dress and shoes for interview purpose. Bring
adequate clothing requirements for six days catering for weather conditions.
(c) Carry your belongings in a hard-shell suitcase preferably for better
disinfection instead of bags.

7. You are advised to plan your arrival well in time catering for the late arrival of trains/Buses in this zone.
Candidates reporting late shall not be accepted for testing.

8. Candidates with present back log in class XII NEED NOT TO REPORT as they will be routed back without
testing.

9. Electronic gadgets (Tabs/ Laptops/Cameras external HDD/IPods/Pen Drives etc.) are strictly prohibited.
Candidates are also advised not to bring excess cash, jewellery and any other valuables.

10. You are requested to withhold your move in case you have a relative at this Board and intimate to this Board
immediately the particulars of the person concerned and wait for further instructions. Any attempts made by candidates,
their relatives or friends to influence the members of Air Force Selection Board in their favour either verbally or in writing
will result in his name being removed from the list of candidates. In all matters of discipline, the decision of President 2
AFSB will be final and no appeal against his decision will be entertained.
11. Recommended candidates will be required to proceed to Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Bangalore for
medical examination for duration of four to seven days. This duration may vary to cater for the quarantine requirement
prevailing at that time.

12. Selection Procedure. Those who get screened in after phase I testing would be retained for further testing
and screened out candidates would be routed back on the same day around 1500-1600h. The testing schedule is in
two phases and normally for a period of six days depending upon contingencies and will be as follows:-

Day 1 Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test,
Document Check (For Phase-II candidates) followed by Lunch.
(Candidates not recommended for Phase-II will be routed back between
1500h to 1600h.)
Phase II
Day 1 Psychological Test ( 1700hrs to 2030hrs) following by PIQ filling.
Day 2, 3 & 4 Group Tests / Interviews : 0700hrs to 1400hrs
Day 5 Group Tests/Interviews & Board Conference.
Candidates not recommended would depart after the Conference.
Candidates who are recommended would fill up documents after the Conference.
Non-flying branch candidates would depart after filling relevant forms.
Day 6 CPSS for candidates eligible for flying branch only. Document filling after CPSS for
relevant branch, as applicable.

13. Discipline. Your conduct and behavior during your stay at the Board is expected to be disciplined and
orderly. Any act of indiscipline or misconduct will lead to cancellation of your candidature. In all matters pertaining to
indiscipline and/ ormisconduct, the decision of the President of the Board shall be final and no appeal against his
decision will be entertained. Should youtry and influence any member of the Board directly, your candidature will be
cancelled.
14. During your stay at the board if at any point of time if you exhibit symptoms of cough, cold and fever your
testing would be terminated and you would be routed back.
15. If at any point of time (after screen in, after recommendation by SSB and before the preparation of merit list
for the entry) it is found that you do not possess or not able to produce the documents required for verifying your
eligibility for the entry, your candidature would be forfeited.
16. The responsibility of meeting the state quarantine requirements is responsibility of the candidate. Please plan
your arrival and departure accordingly. No change of date for SSB would be entertained.

ADVISORY FOR COVID-19

1. Do not travel and report to AFSB, If you have any of the following :-

(a) Fever, cough, cold, breathing problem etc.

(b) In case of recent international travel history or travel to any covid hot spots or a resident
of any covid hotspot.

2. Please carry adequate quantity of personal protective gear like mask, face shield, gloves and
hand sanitizer for your duration of testing.

3. You have to mandatorily download AROGYA SETU app in your perosnal mobile at least
14 days before your date of reporting/ receipt of call letter, the safe status will be checked at the time
of reception.

4. Please strictly abide by all the DO'S and DONT'S of COVID-19 advisories issued by Govt of
India. Adhere to all the social distancing norms while travelling.

11. Qualifying Exam: Tick on 10+2. Write the percentage of 10+2. If you are appearing in 10+2
exam, tick appearing and strike out the rest.

12. Are you a habitual wearer of Glasses/ Spectacles or contact lens? : If you are wearing any
kind of spectacles or contact lenses, tick yes. Otherwise, tick no.

13. FOR S/OUT & REPEATERS ONLY: Those candidates who are coming for SSB for the first
time, be it in Air Force, Army, Navy or Coast Guard, are to leave the table blank. For those who have
been to any SSB centre for testing before are required to fill the data. Mandatory columns should not
be left blank. In result column, if you are screened out on Day 1 of testing write S/Out. If you are not
recommended on the day of conference, write Not Rec and if you are a recommended candidate,
write Rec. You are also required to write number of days stayed at Selection Board for that particular
attempt.

2. Write your name as in 10th passing certificate.

3. Address mentioned must be same as in UPSC admit card and application form.

4. Write nearest railway station to the above mentioned address.

5. Write fare and ticket/PNR number of your travel tickets. Make sure to attach the hard copies of
the ticket before submitting this form.

6. Sign the form. Date mentioned should be your date of arrival at SSB.
This form will be submitted to the staff on your arrival. You are therefore advised to bring the form
duly filled along with hard copy of tickets before your arrival at this Board.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING QUESTIONNAIRE

1. Questionnaire must be filled at your own. Write at the fields wherever required. Otherwise put
tick (√) in the remaining fields. Put (-) in the fields which are not applicable to you.

2. Specify numbers in table (7) and monthly income in INR. If you have seen an Air Force
Publicity Vehicle (Volvo bus carrying Air Force models inside), write yes. Also write suggestions if any.
Otherwise, write no.

3. Sign the form. Address mentioned must be same as in UPSC admit card. Date mentioned
should be your date of arrival at SSB.

4. This form will be submitted to the staff on your arrival. You are therefore advised to bring the
form duly filled before your arrival at this Board.
