SCHOOL CLINIC

Background:
The school's policy on its health services is based on the philosophy that the
performance of the students and the training and instructional outcomes are determined
greatly by the quality of health of the school population. Furthermore, AVM Foundation
recognizes that health maintenance is primarily the responsibility of the individual or the
parent/guardian; however, because of our interest in the health and overall well-being of
our school community as a whole, the School Clinic is maintained to address their basic
health needs.
Objectives
 To encourage daily personal hygiene and health maintenance.
 To assure first-aid treatment, care and rehabilitation of a sick or injured student.
 To protect the school community against health hazards in the school environment;
if any.
 To facilitate suitability of medically unfit students to resume classes, without putting
at risk their own health and safety or that of the other members of the school
community.

Services Offered:
 Conducts initial medical treatment to all minor injuries and sickness incurred or felt
inside the campus by any of the students.
 Coordinates simultaneously with the parents and the nearest hospital during
emergency cases and if needed.
 Conducts ocular inspection of school premises to ensure the cleanliness and
safety of the school environment.
 Issues medical advisories/bulletins relevant to the health of the school community.

classes.
