ACC101 PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTING

Guidelines for Group Assignment

GENERAL INFORMATION

This group assignment is worth 15 percent of the total assessment and will be submitted through
LMS.
The PPT slides and written report of the presentation must be sent to the instructor before
deadlines.

TOPIC

You are required to prepare Annual Report Analysis for both financial and non-financial
information.
Each group will analyze 1 company over at least 3 years of its performance (i.e. 2018-2021). You
are free to select either Vietnamese or foreign companies. Companies’ financial
statements shall be included as appendices in the group report.

WRITTEN REPORT

Your written report should be about 1,500-2,000 words, to be submitted in English language,
typed, Times New Roman Font Size 12, 1.5 spacing, Justify.

You are allowed to use a different outline for your paper, but it must have a Title Page (with Group
Number and name of members, student ID) at the beginning. The written report includes the
following details:

ORAL PRESENTATION

Each presentation should be an extremely clear and well-organized mini-lecture. It will be worth
15 points to the overall mark. The highest marks will go to the groups that find ways of "conveying
understanding" to their classmates.

Groups should plan on giving an approximately 15-minute PowerPoint presentation, and we will
also allow about 15 minutes for discussions following the presentation. A minimum of 3 group
members should participate in the presentation, and any non-presenters should take the lead in
answering any questions. Each remaining group will ask at least 2 questions to the presenting
group.

An electronic copy of PowerPoint slides from the presentation should be submitted along with the
final paper in LMS.

GRADING

This project will be graded as follows:
