FINAL ASSIGNMENT ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING METHODS

1. Tell your experience in teaching at Agape

The experience of teaching excelling students in AGAPE is quite fun and I think is spending more energy
than teaching the average student because it requires more patience, attention and action. We must be very
patient and resourceful in order for the students to learn. Slow response and what they're talking about is
kind of confusing. They only respond to what they like.

2. To teach special students at Agape, mention the teaching methods that can be applied.
Explain how to apply the methods!

When teaching special students at AGAPE in English, my team often uses the TPR (Total Response)
approach. Total Physical Response (TPR) is one method that can be applied. TPR is a method of using
gestures to interpret words. The purpose of this training method is to help teachers teach English and create
a pleasant classroom atmosphere. . For example, when we first learn body parts, we ask questions about
body parts in Indonesian, then give examples of our body parts in English in turn. , when we touch the head to
say "head", then we ask them to imitate us. by touching their head. then move on to other parts of the body,
after telling all the members, we ask them to come forward one by one to mention what we mentioned earlier,
giving commands like "touch the hair" then they touch our hair, when we're done. often write body parts in
English on the board because in our class, students usually prefer to write. When they write things on the
board, we often help them write or remember what we have learned.
