increased demand for quality and inexpensive treatment, the nursing education framework be
redefined and modified to align with changing healthcare practices. Strengthening the nursing faculty
and improving the capacity of the existing nursing schools are two of the proposals for nursing practice
to boost effectiveness. Furthermore, there is a need to redefine the nursing educational curriculum in
order to broaden the scope of training and guarantee that nurses students who graduate with a BSN are
well prepared in the integrating technology, research methodologies, statistical data collection and
analysis, and most importantly, they are well prepared to provide patient education and underline the
current position of the nursing field. As per the Affordable Care Act, nurses are not only expected to
provide interventional steps in relation to the treatment and patient care, but they should also prioritize
preventative measures in their healthcare. It is critical that nurse education providers assist student
nurses in sharpening their communication abilities and instilling certain pedagogical abilities in order to
enable them disseminate the message of health promotion initiatives as a means of enhancing
healthcare and boosting quality of life (Cleveland et al., 2019). I agree with the IOM on the changing role
of professional nursing practice. The suggestions lift the constraints on the APRN's area of work,
allowing them to practice to the full potential of their training and education (Salmond & Echevarria,
2017).
