Overview of the Course

HDPCD exam is a certification program redesigned by Hortonworks. It is an industry-recognized certificate

which enables the individuals with Hadoop knowledge. To process and analyze data stored in Hadoop, this
exam facilitates the organizations with a qualified staff who can run Hadoop applications effectively by using
different tools of Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP).

About the Exam

It is based on the Hortonworks Data Platform 2.2 installed and managed with Ambari 1.7.0, where individuals
perform hands-on tasks to prove their Hadoop knowledge. Its time duration is 2 hours and it is delivered in
English. An access to HDP 2.2 cluster will be given to a candidate to perform the assigned tasks in that cluster.
Before appearing in the exam, the complete knowledge of these tasks is essential for a candidate. The
following three categories of tasks are important for the examination purpose.

 Data ingestion
 Data transformation
 Data analysis

Hadoop developers, working with infrastructures like Pig, Hive, Sqoop and Flume can avail this certification
