One of the jobs of the teacher is to track the students’ progress, knowing whether the student can follow

what is being taught or not. However, since the modular distance learning has started there are times the
teacher is not sure if the results of assessment given to students are authentic since in reality, there are
parents who answers the task of the learner. One of my ways to track the real progress of the learner is by
giving a performance task such as singing and video recording. According to Article 8, Section 1 of the
Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers, “The teacher does the processing determining the academic
mark and promotion of learners in a such a way that it is accordance with generally accepted procedures of
evaluation.” The performance task I gave to the students has rubrics so I can evaluate the learners
objectively and to make the scoring unbiased and consistent. The use of performance task and rubrics is
one of the ways to support learning and is an accepted procedure of evaluation.
