A Website is simply the collection of Webpages joined together

and saved on a computer called Web server. Which usually have a
common Domain name that serves as a means of identification for
internet users.
In a layman definition a Website is simply a collections of files (i.e
codes,images, audio, videos e.t c) stored on the internet.
We will be studying how is it possible to create this file, store it and
lastly make it accessible to internet users around the world.

Basically, the types of websites is dependent on the use of the

best. We have a lot of them visible on the internet.

There are two key components that happens to be the life wire of
every Website. Without this two components a Website cannot stand.
The first step you must undertake when developing your website is
simply getting this two components Ready and fully set-up.

The Two Components includes:

2. Web Hosting

website. Remember I said a Website is a collection of files stored on

Domain name makes it easier for internet users to identify and have
access to your website. One would ask how does a Domain Name
looks like. Just as a mail boxes those days are identify as PMB then a
number attached. a Domain name is identify with HTTP & WWW
(A good example is Https://www.Facebook.com) if this line look
familiar to you. Then you have idea of a Domain Name.

Types of Domain Name

.com = this shows the website is built for commercial purposes.
.biz = this shows it's a business Website
.info= this is for information
.pro = professional website
.tv = it's specifically for television
.ng = its coverage is restricted to Nigeria, meaning it can't be
accessed by non- Nigerians
.net = network

Now I will be giving key hints when getting a Domain Name and
also how to make money from domain name.

take a few seconds and Google about it. I will advise you to Create an
account on www.fiverr.com set up the account and I will show you

1. When getting a Domain Name try checking the availability of the
domain name on Google Domain.

2. Try as much as you can to make the domain name cachy and
short. Easy to remember.
 3. The availability of a Domain Name especially for popular names
is difficult so try manipulating either the letters if the domain
name is not available.

4. Always source domain name from a reliable source.

This two terms are usually used interchangeable, I will explain them
both. But the one that concerns us is Web Hosting

program that distributes web pages as they are requisitioned or
demanded.
The objective of a Web server is to store, process and deliver web
pages to the users. This intercommunication is done using (http).
 When we say computer it doesn't necessarily mean desktop or
laptop it could mean a device that performs high or logical function.

This is our primary concern along with Domain Name.

Web Hosting is simply the process of renting or buying space to
house your website on the world wide web(Internet). Web Hosting is a
service purchased from a Hosting Service providers. This service
enable you to get a space on the internet to store your Website file
and make it accessible to internet users.
Just like our Network providers (Mtn, Smile, glo, Spectronet, Airtel)
that provides us certain mechanism to have access to the internet
from our devices (we pay for data, which have a time period to expire
and usuage limit). This is the exact way Hosting Providers function to

HAND CODING

Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is highly required in this

method. This is the first and oldest method of creating a Website. This
is known as PROGRAMMING It has to do with starting web creation
from scratch without template.
 HTML Hyper text markup language is not a programming language.
Instead it's a standard language used to create web page. This is the
skeleton of all Websites.
Cascading Style Sheet (CSS)
CSS is just there, it's function would be to add style to your HTML.
CSS is a stylesheet to add color, font and others. CSS uses this { }
unlike HTML that is how to differentiate them in a document.
JavaScript,HTML and CSS can be used to create a simple website
but if you want to add other functionality and spice to your website you
go for Javascript. it uses the same angle bracket like HTML but the
difference is it written like this <Script> when ever you see this you
know you are working with JavaScript.

This domain are absolutely free of charge you are not paying a

Disadvantages
1.They are childish and less attractive. Compared to the purchased
domain.

2.Another disadvantage of free domain, your domain name would be

or www.okeke.blogspot.com this would make your website appear
childish and imature.No (2)... is a turn off... For clients the long link to
your website could limit your traffic. Especially if it's a blog.
