SCAPE 2020 – guidance for attendees

Links to each day are in the programme. When you join Collaborate it
will look something like this:

Open the pink tab on the bottom right.

The speech bubble is the chat function; you can ask questions of each
presenter, express delight, surprise, etc., using various emoticons.
Please be civil…….
The next icon shows who is present in the session and their roles. The
chairs, the technical crew and myself are Moderators. Presenters will be
listed separately, then attendees:

The third icon leads to the Share Files section which will be used by the
Presenters:
All of the presentations for each session will be uploaded in advance.
Presenters – select Share Files and you will see something like this:

The Presenter (not the Chair!) then selects their own presentation, clicks
on Share Now, and then on the first slide:
Which will make your talk live and you can start your presentation:

Move between slides using enter or the arrows under each slide. The
filled square in the circle at top right stops the presentation.
Once a talk has finished the Chair will select questions that have come
in via the chat box to ask the Presenter. The number of questions will
depend on how much time there is. Any questions that are unanswered
can be answered in the chat box later.
