At the close of World War II, the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund
was established (Unicef). Their mission was clear: to assist children and young people whose
lives and futures were in jeopardy, regardless of their country's participation in the conflict.
UNICEF needed to reach every child in need and safeguard children's rights to survive,
flourish, and attain their full potential.

Q1.
a) The goal of UNICEF is to stress that children's survival, protection, and development
are universal development imperatives that are essential to human progress.

b) UNICEF reacts to emergencies to defend children's rights in order to fulfil its

objectives. UNICEF uses its unique quick response skills in collaboration with United
Nations partners and humanitarian agencies to alleviate the suffering of children and
their carers.

c) UNICEF is totally funded via donations. Governments provide two-thirds of funding;

the remaining funds are provided by private organisations and approximately 6
million individual donors through our National Committees. A 36-member Executive
Board made up of government officials oversees and guides UNICEF's activities.

d) The Global Shared Services Center, the Early Childhood Development Division, the
Gender and Development Office, and the Child Protection Programme Office are
among the 17 functional sub-divisions that make up the UNICEF.
e) The organization consists of several divisions, each of which has a specific area of
responsibility. In essence, this means that an employee of the early childhood
development department will be responsible only for his field of activity, and the
same applies to other departments.

Q2.

a) Internal UNICEF stakeholders would have included staff members, as well as

personnel in various country postings across the world and at all levels, and
representatives from member nations. The major goal of the employees in the
company is to help UNICEF give excellent service to its consumers.

b) It has no other subsystems, but executives require accurate statistics on global factors
like the economy, environment, and finance, and yes, it relies on a variety of systems
to get the data., which primarily consist of a big data platform and servers from which
they receive data, analyse it, and then send it to the appropriate authorities.

c) The following are some of the features of the information system:

It's a type of information technology that allows for speedy data analysis.

These systems are capable of processing large amounts of data quickly.

Cyberthreats such as hacking and cracking must be protected against these systems.
d) The line is simply that, as a data analyst or data scientist working for an UNICEF, you
cannot just attempt to maximise key performance indicators; instead, you must
endeavour to extract the proper information or insights from the data and then
communicate them to decision-makers. You are unable to alter the results of your
investigation.

e) Based on Ackoff's concept, the planned $10 million gift to UNICEF may be separated
into two categories. The first sort of problem is one with only one source and one
effect: increased UNICEF capability and reaction. The second type of problem is
more complicated, with numerous possible causes and effects: ensuring the
continuous supply of trustworthy world-class statistics, as well as enhancing decision-
making and innovation support through the provision of more rapid and
comprehensive statistical services.

Also, one of the issues that Transform for the Future may confront is a
straightforward issue with a single source and remedy.

A simple problem might be that management or employees are averse to change or do

not fully comprehend their position in the change project, causing the project to
suffer. This challenge may be solved by training key stakeholders, such as workers
and suppliers, so that they are all involved in the change process.

Another potential problem for Transforming for the Future is that it is a complicated
issue with numerous causes and answers. Inadequate resources supplied to a project
might cause it to slow down, which can be a tough challenge. This problem may be
avoided by good planning and resource allocation at the start of the project.

The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, or UNICEF, is the only way to
reduce child labour and promote healthy parenting. Their organisation has aided millions of
youngsters in becoming educated adults and instilling in them the belief that there is always
hope in the world. UNICEF is the only worldwide organisation capable of ensuring that every
child lives a healthy life. These kids are our new world's future.
