KSAB RETOOLING MODEL

This self-assessment instrument provides a framework for an individual or group development action plan.

Activity 1: What are my current KSABs?

Working on your own, identify the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors that have combined to produce your
current level of success. Don’t be shy—go ahead and pat yourself on the back! What has helped you get to where
you are now? Be prepared to share your list with other participants.

Activity 2: What are our most common current KSABs?

Share your results from Activity 1 with other participants. Then, use your group’s shared information to build a
master list of no more than ten of the most common factors found on individual group members’ lists. Members of
the group should reach consensus on which factors to include.
