Who is Isaac Newton?

- He was a mathematician, physicist, astronomer, theologian, and author from England. He

was classified as a "natural philosopher" at the time, and he is widely regarded as one of
the greatest mathematicians and physicists of all time, as well as one of the most
important scientists. He developed the laws of motion and universal gravitation, which
became the prevailing scientific position until they were overtaken by Einstein's theory of
relativity.
- He proved that the motion of objects on Earth and heavenly bodies could be explained
using the same concepts. The geodetic observations of other scientists eventually
supported Newton's deduction that the Earth is an oblate spheroid, persuading most
European scientists of the superiority of Newtonian mechanics over older systems. He
was highly regarded as one of the best scientists of his day and is still regarded as a
historical figure today.
