Course Objectives

This foundational course is essential for future business professional and


entrepreneurs to have a thorough understanding of the ways law determines the
dynamically evolving business environment and legal decision-making. It enhances
our capacity to pre-empt legal risks involved in shaping business decisions,
achieving tactical advantage, and avoiding contingent legal liabilities. It also provides
the student an introduction to the substantive and procedural law and how it
influences contractual obligations in a interdependent jurisprudential environment
where law of contract, bailment, agency, sale of goods, companies law and
consumer protection play an pervasive role.

Course Objectives: -

1. To improve decision making by evaluating legal risks involved.

2. To improve the ability to identify and manage legal risks.

3. To enable the students to make ethical decisions, individually and as an


organization.

4. To learn legal processes affecting business, including employee relationships,


business formations, contractual obligations, consumers rights and company
affairs.

5. To encourage critical thinking and innovative approaches to legal applications.

6. To learn the language of law, including but not limited to interpretation of


statutes.

7. To improve analytical skills and develop oral expression.

8. To learn reading a judicial case and understand the judicial process.
