HEMU (HEMCHANDRA VIKRAMADITYA), AN IMP HINDU MINISTER IN SURI DYNASTY
RECAPTURES THRONE IN 1556.
II Battle of Panipat- Akbar Vs Hemu
1556 Mughal army led by Bairam Khan since Akbar was only 13 years old.

Mughals came under Maratha military protection due to fear of Afghan invasion

Puppet Ruler installed by Marathas- Assassinated by Marathas with help of Imad-ul-mulk
(subedar of Assam) because he sought to be independent of Maratha control

Haidar Ali overthrew Wodeyar Dynasty in Mysore to establish his dynastic rule.

1763 Surajmal (1756-63) died and Jat State collapsed.

Ranjit Singh 0139 defeated Zeman Shah (Abdali’s successor) and repelled

Ranjit Singh 0139 conquered Lahore and established centralized rule over
1801 Punjab and conquered 5 Doabs of Punjab by 1809
TREATY OF AMRITSAR- East India Company recognized Ranjit Singh as
1809 sovereign ruler of Punjab
