UNIT 06

OBJECTIVE:
To write a 3 – paragraph article about how a country’s cultural expression and
economic activity has taken on a global scale.

Important points:er
- First of all, choose one country that has one example of a cultural expression
(festival, holiday, etc.) and an economic activity that has a big impact at a global
level.
- In the first paragraph Make a general introduction about the country you chose
and some ideas about why you would like to visit and your plans there. Make
sure you use at least 2 examples with future time clauses from page 29.

- In the second paragraph Describe an example of cultural manifestation from this

country and explain why, how, and when this celebration moved from the local to the
global scale. Make sure you use at least 5 words from the vocabulary in page 23. Also,
make sure you explain how this celebration has evolved and changed or not with time.

- In the third paragraph Describe an example of an economic activity of this

country and its role at a global level. Elaborate and explain its importance.
Make sure you use at least 3 examples of future and present real conditionals
from page 25.

- Important: The use of target vocabulary and grammar structures is not

restricted to specific paragraphs. You can use them in the whole writing but
make sure you comply with the number of examples required.

- Type this writing in a word document. Not in a pdf or power point document.
- Don’t use highlighters.
- Use colors for the letters in order to highlight the vocabulary and grammatical
