PART-I EQ & SQ (Marks weightage: 75%)


Dear Friend, please answer the below questions to the best of your understanding. Be honest to yourself.

Q-1 to Q-8: Choose only ONE answer. Also, give honest explanation of why you chose that option in at least one line.

1. A class of Scientists has come to the conclusion based on ‘intelligent design’ that there has to be a Mastermind who is behind this
wonderful creation which is systematically conceived designed and created. Another class of scientists proclaim that we need
not bring in some Mastermind, there is some material cause which is yet not known to us. What is your opinion?
a. Surely there is a Mastermind and I appreciate what Intelligent design people are saying
b. There could be some material cause behind creation which has yet to be found out.
c. Whether Science says or not I have full belief that there is God, who is our supreme father.
d. Either of the class of scientists could be true

REASON:

2. IMAGINE: you are seeing the night sky – “there are so many stars twinkling, cooling moon light is shining, making you feel happy,
so many planets, comets… and there is life on earth….” What are your feelings?
a. I want to enjoy such scenes. I feel all this is for my enjoyment.
b. If God’s creation is so beautiful, how much beautiful will he be? I want to love him & worship him.
c. All these stars, planets etc look very beautiful. They all have come by chance as explained by Big bang theory.
d. How can all these celestial objects come by chance? There must be some God who created.
e. I want to know more about such God who is the creator of all these wonderful objects.

COMMENT:

3. ASSUME: Some of your friends (and may be you also) have been found to have some bad habits like “watching dirty movies
and illicit pictures, smoking, drinking occasionally etc”. What will you do?
a. I feel it is not the right age to do these things, later in our colleges or job we can do.
b. Life is meant for enjoyment. Why should we call these things bad – whatever feels good just do it.
c. No one should do these things. We should lead pure life based on principles given by God.
d. I feel these things are OK but should not be done too much.
e. These are bad habits. Even if I have it, I don’t want to continue with these bad things.

EXPLAIN:
4. ENVISION: You are standing on a station. You see some beggars asking money – some don’t have hand or leg, some are blind,
some are orphan without parents, some are dirty. You are eating a chocolate worth 100 Rs. What are your feelings?
a. Why God is so cruel to hurt these people? That’s why I don’t believe in God business.
b. I feel very sad for these people. I feel there should not be any unhappiness in world. I’ll do social service and help others.
c. I will give some rupee to a beggar. I feel sad for them.
d. Who cares for all these people, I want to enjoy my life. I will continue my way and forget them.
e. I feel extremely sad seeing them. I want to help them and see everyone happy in this world. But I realize that even I am
suffering. Why there is suffering in this world? How can we end it? Those will be my contemplations and thoughts of search.

EXPLAIN:

5. You read in newspaper – “politicians corrupt – looted crores, pollution everywhere, gang rape, government tortures
citizens, policemen themselves are criminals etc”. What is going on in your mind?
a. I am not a bad person. I will not do any bad thing. Others, I cannot change.
b. I am upset by such things. These things happen because people are not religious. They have stopped practicing religion and
have become corrupt. I will follow my religion and teach to others also.
c. Why to read such things? I will read sports and cinema page and be happy.
d. I am upset by such things. Our society should be changed. Today’s world urgently needs morality and good principles
e. These things are not happening to me. I can’t do anything about it.
COMMENT:

6. What will you do if you get ₹100 Crore?


a. I will start a business and multiply the money I got.
b. I will use the money efficiently and also do some social service work like opening hospitals etc or giving donation.
c. I will relax because now I don’t need to work hard.
d. All money belongs to God. Whatever I get I will utilize in his service – making temples, helping in spreading knowledge of Gita.
e. I will live in a huge palace, drive best of the cars, eat finest of the foods & enjoy.
COMMENT:

7. You took a book from your friends to study one of your subject and make notes. After making the notes, you forget to return the
book. Few months passed. Your friend also doesn’t remember to whom he gave the book. So, he puts messages on the whatsapp
group of the department. What will you do now?
a. Nothing to worry. Since my friend also don’t remember to whom he gave the book. So, just be quite. And let the situation go.
b. I will go to my friend and tell him, “Yes!! I had taken your book. But I have returned it to you. Perhaps you have given to
someone else or you have lost it by your carelessness.”
c. I will go to my friend and admit to him that actually I have lost the book. I feel very sorry for it. Please forgive me for it. He is
my one of the good friend; he will surely forgive to me.
d. I will go to my friend and admit to him that actually I have lost it. And don’t worry. I will return back to you at least a second
hand copy of the book.

8. You are an active member in a club. And you have been given a responsible post in by your club. Deadline is just after 2 days. It is
expected that you may get lots of call from other team mates from the club during this time of 10-2 PM for scheduled meetings both
the days. But you have to go to the hospital for some surgery. And Appointment timing is also 10 AM to 2 PM. If you don’t lift the
call then many of your team mates will be disappointment & task will not be completed before time given to you by your club
people. So what will you do?
a. I will leave my appointment for doctor and try to complete the task. Even though I will not get appointment again for next 2
months. No problem. Work is worship.
b. I will make an excuse and keep my phone switched off for 2 days. And later will convey that my health was not good. And I
was in ICU. So, could not attend the calls.
c. I will explain my situation to the secretary of the club. And ask for forgiveness. And request to extend the dead line of the task
by 2 days.
d. I will explain my situation to the secretary. And give him a suggestion – if possible can we keep meeting with team mates at any
other time other than my appointment timings. Preferably before that or later that.

9. You happen to be a Maths Teacher in a coaching & you are getting Rs 4 Lakhs Per Annum. You teach to a batch of 20 students.
After 2 months they have intermediate board exam.. Suddenly you get a offer of Rs 6 Lakhs Per Annum in some other coaching.
What will you do? If you leave the job then you will get a good package. But many student’s career will be at risk – since
intermediate exam is very important for them. So, now what will you do?

1. The day before yesterday, I was 25 years old, and next year I will turn 28.How is it possible?

without one. The bridge is only strong enough to support two people at a time. Not all people take same time to cross the bridge. Times for
