Day – 11

My idea is to renovate the Baoli maintaining its true form. I have thought about a lot of ideas but all
those ideas will change the originality of the monument. Like if we try to recreate a fountain in it,
then it will require to lay down the pipes, motor, electricity wires etc. thus it will decrease the
authenticity of the place.

I have decided to just repair the Baoli. The steps included in this are:

1. De-silting
2. Analysis of the structure with detailed mapping.
3. Reconstruction of the damaged portion using original stones and to fill the voids in the
entire structure to prevent further damage.
4. Finishing work
