The last fiction novel I’ve read was the “I Love You Since 1892”. A tragic love story
between Juanito Alfonso and Carmela Isabela (Carmelita Montecarlos in 1892). The story did
not just evolve between the two characters, it also tackled the similar point of view just like the
time of Jose Rizal. The story was set in the year 1892, where the country is still under the hands
of the Spaniards. And just like Rizal, the characters in the story suffered in the hands of the
Spanish friars, however, Rizal fought through his writings. While Juanito and Carmelita
witnessed and fought blood by blood. It ended tragically yet they achieved the freedom they
fought for. They might have used different methods of showing patriotism, yet they both
sacrificed things in order to achieve the freedom.

Defining the youth of today’s generation; Morality in 21st century, technology opened a
wider and a whole new world which curved the society of the modern days. The youth of 21st
Century are more of literate on proper utilization of the information and technology. The
morality extends not only in the real world and the society but also on the internet where social
media lies.
During this time, I must admit that some of the modern youths are not fond of education
maybe because of the unimproved system, example is in our country, the Philippines. We need
improvements on our education system, strengthening the value of education. Especially now
that we are experiencing historical crisis, effect of weak education system.
Continuing the topic regarding education, during this pandemic the youth and the young
ones are quite overexposed to their gadgets, it becomes their version of hobbies and recreation.
Instead of playing outside, as we have been restricted of due to the pandemic, they tend to focus
themselves on playing video games and entertainment apps like TikTok and YouTube.
Social and political responsibility can be seen to the youth of ages 13 to 20 years old. Not
fully responsible but it is being taught and learned by them through this age. They are being
engaged to the ethical understanding of the civic duty of an individual, including their rights and
Laws that impose limitations on the freedom we are experiencing now. Being engaged to voting
and elections, understanding basic economics and political science, even social studies and
history.
