It was the American dentist Thomas Green Morton used his invention for a
painless dental procedure.

2. When wat it invented?

This happened in 1846, in the city of Boston, in the United States.

3. What is it?

Inhaled anesthetics are inorganic gases (nitrous oxide) or hydrocarbons (ether,

halothane, isoflurane, sevoflurane, desflurane). they act on the lipid membrane of
neurons preventing the transmission of impulses in the central nervous system.

4. What benefits did it bring to mankind?

with anesthesia, it is able to perform surgeries without feeling pain, or even remove
a tooth without any pain.
