5. My first day working at tropical Smoothie I was taught how to prep the fruits for the
smoothie line, when I first got there, I got a quick break down where everything in the
store was placed. And where everything is supposed to be stored in the café. I was
showed the freezer, fridge, food line, and smoothie line. Then after the quick tour, I was
trained on drive-thur with one of the shift leader. Everyone was very helpful and patient
with me. That really made the process less stressful.
6. The challenges I encountered during this time was having to go back to work the day
after finding out my grandmother passed my second week working there. That was one
of my biggest challenges during this time, while also still find my way around the café
still. But I still showed up every day ready to work and kept a smile on my face. Another
challenge I faced was pouring the smoothies at first. Then being taught the correct and
easier way of pouring smoothies.
7. Doing prep list, smoothie 2- stocking cups and lids, and ice, also pouring smoothies and
cleaning blenders. I also ran drive-thur on some days as well.
8. Being able to learn out FIFO really helped me be able to know how to pack produces.
Also taking the sanitation and safety which is a very important training to know before
entering a food industry.
