Background information

Red Star Express is a company that provides logistic services through delivering parcels and
documents locally and internationally and is fully operated and owned by Nigerians.The
company was established on October 12, 1992, by Sonny Allison, Patrick Nwosu, and Eddy
Olafeso with a technical agreement with Federal Express (FedEx). Red Star Express delivered
parcels and documents throughout 21 countries, including the United States of America. They
have increased their share from N3 million to N45 million and expanded their business across
200 offices in other parts of Nigeria.
Problem statement
The previous management of Red Star Express should have made a long-term strategic plan that
focuses on its long-term goals by assessing its performance to keep its business in the long run.
Core Values
The Red Star Express provides quality service with a good value of money through employee
teamwork. It shall provide customer satisfaction with a sense of urgency that treats each parcel as
the most important. It shall continue to listen and develop a long-term relationship with its client.
Accountability to take risks and actions in delivering parcels and perform duties with
international standards. To award employees based on the contribution to the company's success
and increase the return of investments to its stakeholders. To become responsible individuals and
accept the rule of change.
Mission :

Its mission is to become the top service provider as an innovative courier in Nigeria by offering
various products and services through teamwork. It aims to continue the values and ideals
practiced by the company to ensure that quality service is maintained with a good value of
money.
