With the rise in automation and the usage of robotics in industries, robots will begin to do

daily duties, including physical labour in households, and will be referred to as service
robots.
As more technology enters our life, our purchasing and consuming habits will change as
well. For example, one-click buying, the need for more tailored items, and a wider range of
products will all change.
For certain people, intelligent helpers will become indispensable in their daily lives: "This
might create problems if customers become reliant on an electronic right hand to make
purchases."

Mobile phones will become obsolete as more wearable technology is developed.

Jobs will be lost in large numbers, but new ones will be created in their place.
Industry 4.0 creates new meanings for the concepts of work, workplace, health and safety,
availability and flexibility.  While many traditional workplaces will disappear, new ones will
be created but the overall affect on jobs is not clear.

What is clear is that workers must be given new skills to master technological developments,
or risk being left behind.
