PROCEDURE

NOTE
This procedure performs the switching ON of the whole Radar system
1 On the Electrical Switchboard turn ON the breakers referred to the following units:
- Main Line (From Distribution Board)
- RXU A Receiver Unit A
- RXU B Receiver Unit B
- TTG Test Target Generator, Distributor and WGTS Control
- TXU Transmitter unit
- AMDU Azimuth Motor Drive Unit
- PSR LCP Primary Surveillance Radar Local Control Panel
- TX LCP Transmitter Local Control Panel (Spare Breaker)
2 Perform RX Group Switch ON procedure (Refer to Receiver Group Technical Manual TM-08M/E1430).
3 Perform TX Unit Switch ON procedure (Refer to Transmitter Unit Technical Manual TM-08M/E1440).
4 Perform AMDU Unit Switch ON procedure (Refer to AMDU Unit Technical Manual TM-08M/E1540).

NOTE
This procedure performs the switching OFF of the whole Radar System ATCR33S ENH

1 Perform Receiver Group Switch OFF procedure (Refer to Receiver Group Technical Manual
TM-08M/E1430).
2 Perform Transmitter Unit Switch OFF procedure (Refer to Transmitter Unit Technical Manual
TM-08M/E1440).
3 Perform AMDU Unit Switch OFF procedure (Refer to AMDU Unit Technical Manual TM-08M/E1540).
4 Perform PSR Control Panel Switch OFF procedure (Proc. 2.6).
5 Perform TX Local Control Panel Switch OFF procedure (Proc. 2.8).
6 On the Electrical Switchboard turn OFF the breakers referred to the following units:
- Main Line
- RXU A
- RXU B
- TTG Distrbutor and WGTS Control

PROCEDURE
1 On the Electrical Switchboard turn to ON position the breaker referred to PSR Control Panel.
2 Switch ON the PSR Control Panel COTS PC (Refer to PC User Manual).
3 On PC Desktop window, locate the PSR Control Panel operative program link icon.
4 Double-Click on PSR Control Panel Operative Program link Icon. The PSR Control Panel main window will
be shown ( Fig. 2.5.1).
5 On the Menu Bar click Connect from File Menu ( Fig. 2.5.2), LanA and LanB LEDs will become green ( Fig.
2.5.3).
6 END.

1 On the Menu Bar click Stop from File Menu ( Fig. 2.6.2), LanA and LanB LEDs will become OFF
( Fig. 2.6.3).
2 On the Menu Bar click Exit from File Menu.
3 Shut Down PSR Control Panel COTS PC (Refer to PC User Manual)
4 On the Electrical Switchboard, turn OFF the Breaker referred to PSR Control Panel
5 END.

NOTE
By means of this procedure, the PSR (Local) Control Panel becomes the master controller of ATCR33S
ENH in order to perform maintenance procedures.
1 By using PSR Local Control Panel, acquire the RXU A mastership (Proc. 2.25).
2 By using PSR Local Control Panel, acquire the RXU B mastership (Proc. 2.25).
3 Perform Radiation OFF procedure (Refer to Radar System Technical Manual, Proc. 2.11).
4 Perform Antenna Rotation OFF procedure (Refer to Radar System Technical Manual, Proc. 2.13).
5 END.

1 On PSR Control Panel main window, locate the Status Report section ( Fig. 2.10.1).
2 On Status Report section ( Fig. 2.10.2) verify which is the master RXU.
NOTE
The master channel is indicated by a green illuminated LED.
- RxAMst: It is illuminated when RXU A is the master channel
- RxBMst: It is illuminated when RXU B is the master channel
3 By using PSR Local Control Panel, acquire the mastership control of the master RXU Channel
(Proc. 2.25).
4 On the Channel Selector section ( Fig. 2.10.1) select the master channel pushbutton.
5 Locate the Radar Radiation and Antenna Rotation Fields section ( Fig. 2.10.1).
6 On the TX Radiation section ( Fig. 2.10.1) select the ON pushbutton
7 END.
