GETTING GOD’S WORD IN YOUR LIFE

Think about your best friend. How did he/she become your best friend?

Scripture: Colossians 1:9-20

Best verse:
“And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the
Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work,
growing in the knowledge of God.” Colossians 1:10

Thoughts about the verse:


Paul prayed for his brethren in Colossae. I should also pray for my
brothers and sisters regularly so that they will come to know Jesus Christ.

Application:
 Pray for my churchmates and friends (write specific names)
 Be an agent of reconciliation by witnessing for Christ today.

Prayer:
Lord, fill me with the knowledge of Your will and with all the
wisdom and understanding that Your Spirit gives. Teach me to pray for my
churchmates and friends so that we may all live a life worthy of the Lord
and growing in the knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

EXERCISE:
Make a Quiet Time using the SOAP method. Read John 1:1-18.

DISCIPLESHIP CHALLENGE:
Have a SOAP Quiet Time at least 5 days this week. Bring your journal and
be ready to share some SOAP’s. Memorize Joshua 1:8.
“Keep this Book of Law always on your lips; meditate on it day
and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then
you will be prosperous and successful.”
