Rear axle, removing

Sling 6 m, 2 pcs.

1. Lock the frame joint. 2. Use 9993741 to remove the prop shaft from
the final drive.

3. Place 2 jacks 11668007 under the rear frame and lift up the rear wheels.

4. Release the brake system pressure by depressing the brake pedal repeatedly (30–40 times).
Fully depress the brake pedal and block it in that position with a suitable tool. When the brake pedal is blocked
in the depressed position, the oil in the hydraulic tank is prevented from running out to respective brake piston.
Detach the lubrication oil pipes from the axle brackets and the brake hose from the axle's brake pipe. Fit
protective plugs. Disconnect the wiring harness from the axle's temperature sensor and the hose from the
breather filter.

Note
The brake pedal must be locked in position until the rear axle has been refitted.
5. Remove the rear part of the rear fenders.

6. Remove the rear wheels.

7. Secure the front rear axle cradle by fastening a tensioning strap or similar around the front rear axle cradle and
the axle housing.

8. Connect sling and 9998547 to the axle.


Make sure that the front rear axle cradle is secured with a tensioning strap or similar around the axle housing
and front rear axle cradle.
Place a jack under the axle. Axle weight incl. brackets: approx. 1300 kg (2865 lbs).
Remove the bolts between the axle bracket and the frame.

9. Lower and pull out the axle. Secure the axle with a jack under the axle so that it doesn't fall over.

Note
Make sure that the front axle bracket doesn't slide off the axle.
