Topic: Health Initiatives on Gestational Diabetes.

Introduction:

The health problem I am going to talk about is gestational diabetes. And the health initiatives are
blood glucose tests,

During pregnancy, 20 million or 16% of live babies had some form of hyperglycemia.
Gestational diabetes was responsible for an estimated 84 percent of the cases. Ref. Three
determinants work on gestational diabetes. They are Socioeconomic status, Education, and
Physical environment.

Socioeconomic status:

Although low socioeconomic level has been linked to poor pregnancy outcomes, it is unclear if
this link is due to insufficient prenatal care. However, it's unclear whether poor pregnancy
outcomes in low-income women are due to their socioeconomic status or to economic constraints
on medical care.
