Support of Ethernet/TCP communication connections

QUESTION:

How many simultaneous TCP communication connections are supported via the integrated Ethernet interface of SENTRON
PAC, Powercenter or 3VA COM?

ANSWER:

The multifunctional measuring devices provide an integrated Ethernet interface for network communication as standard. For
this maximum simultaneous TCP communication are possible:

PAC1200: 3 Connections (Modbus TCP) *1

PAC2200 (CLP): 3 Connections (Modbus TCP) *1

PAC3200T: 3 Connections (Modbus TCP) *1

PAC3200:
Firmware < V2.4.5: 1 Connection (Modbus TCP)
Firmware ≥ V2.4.5: 3 Connections (Modbus TCP)

PAC3220: 3 Connections (Modbus TCP) *1, *2

PAC4200:
Firmware < V2.2.4: 3 Connections (Modbus TCP) *3
Firmware ≥ V2.2.4: 12 Connections (Modbus TCP) *1, *2, *3

PAC5100: 4 Connections (Modbus TCP) *1

PAC5200: 4 Connections (Modbus TCP) *1

COM100/800: 3 Connections (Modbus TCP)

Expansion module „Switched Ethernet/PROFINET“

V2 (7KM9300-0AE01-0AA0):
Firmware < V2.1.4: 2 Connections (Profinet and Modbus TCP)
Firmware ≥ V2.1.4: 3 Connections (Profinet and Modbus TCP)
Supported devices: PAC3200, PAC4200, COM100 and COM800

V3 (7KM9300-0AE02-0AA0): 3 Connections (Profinet and Modbus TCP)

Supported devices: Like V2 + PAC3220

Powercenter:
POC1000: 3 Connections (Modbus TCP)
POC3000: 128 Connections (Modbus TCP & Webserver).

Remarks

*1) Webserver available on device. Connections on webserver are additional to available communication connections. Limit
depends to the actual workload of device.

*2) Webserver is only available via the integrated Ethernet interface of device. Access via expansion modules is not
possible.

*3) PAC4200 + RS485 Expansion module as Modbus TCP/RTU Gateway:

Access to Modbus RTU sub devices is always only with one single Modbus TCP connection possible.
