UNICORN COMPANIES

For the project, the first step was identifying the suitable dataset. Using this dataset, we can
get insights from Tableau using Exploratory Data Analysis. The dataset Unicorn Companies
was selected from Kaggle. The data was cleaned from null values and other non-English
characters before doing the analysis.
The data contains information about different startups that became Unicorn companies after
2007. The dataset has 1037 rows and 13 columns which represents the data of different
companies like the country, year, investors, valuation etc. We selected this data because we
can get insights which can help investors to make better decisions about which companies to
invest in each country. This data can help us to know the countries which has the maximum
number of unicorns and the industries in which most unicorns are present. Moreover, we can
identify which industry takes the least time to become Unicorns which can help make
investment decisions. Also, we get an information about the average investors in each
industry. The relation between time taken to become unicorn and valuation of the company
can also be checked to see if there is any correlation. These all insights can help make a better
investment decision while investing in a particular company in a country.
These are the questions that we are trying to answer using this analysis:
1. Which are the top 3 countries having maximum number of unicorn companies?
2. Which are the industries having maximum number of unicorns?
3. What is the average number of investors in each industry?
4. What is the average time taken by each industry to achieve unicorn status?
5. Is there any relation between valuation of a company and time taken by it to achieve
unicorn status?

average time taken by each industry to achieve unicorn status. Also, we can identify if there
is any relation between valuation of a company and time taken by it to achieve unicorn status.
All these insights can be used to make a better investment decision while investing in an
