A It was a busy Saturday morning in the Main Street shopping mall. It was raining outside and
the people who were waiting for the bus were getting wet. The hundreds of people inside the
shopping mall weren’t getting wet. They were shopping. Many of the stores were having sales.
In the department store, women were bumping into one another. They were trying to find the
best bargains.
 ne young woman was talking to the cashier. She was returning an expensive raincoat. She

was crying because the zipper of the raincoat was broken. The cashier was telling her that she
couldn’t return the raincoat without a receipt. The young woman was becoming more and more

They were waiting to pay. A man was holding a camera in one hand and his credit card in the
other. The woman behind him was looking in the pocket of her bag. She was trying to find her
personal check book.
