Question 1

Name 2-3 resources for conducting a search for a career in public health or healthcare
(in other words, what website(s) or other resources would you use?). Explain how you
use one of these resources to inform your search and help to identify a career that you
would be a good fit for you. Consider education, income, and future demand for this
career.
Your Answer:
A resource I found helpful to find more information about the a career was Explore
Health Careers. Here they should the education need to go into a career, salary, a brief
description of the job and the increase the position has within the next couple years to
grow. Another website I found helpful was Public Health. In this website it also provided
the information about salary and education needed as well as a brief description of the
job. This two websites were helpful for me to make a decision if this is something I want
to choose as a career. The only discouraging thing I found was that a higher education is
needed, such as a Master degree.  For this I would need to consider more since its hard
to be in school and working full time.

Question 2
Using the links at the beginning of Module 9, identify one Public Health database or
source available for public use.
Example: Cancer Statistics at https://wonder.cdc.gov/cancer.html (Links to an external
site.)
Explain the purpose of tracking this data and how it can be used to improve the health of
people nationwide.
Your Answer:
One database is https://wonder.cdc.gov/wonder/help/lbd.html#Age%20of
%20Mother (Links to an external site.). This is where show data about deaths of infants
from 1995-2016. This is helpful because we will be able to see if there is any correlation
between age of mothers, locations, or any other factor. Knowing if there is something
can help us lower the number of deaths in infants, by education, providing more
resources to those who need them and if there is some environmental issue Public
Health can intervene.
