Project Manager Promotion Recommendation Letter

Dear Mr. O'Neal,

Frank Jones would get my full endorsement as your upcoming project manager. It can often be
challenging to retain skilled employees in the realm of contracting because employment
frequently comes and goes without warning. I pushed Frank to consider his choices when our
company experienced a significant downturn in business. He is by far my most experienced
project manager, and I would be very sad to lose him.

Frank gives his all to every job and has never been late. He has never cost me any money in
liquidated damages, and no union has ever filed a grievance against him. His techniques for
supervising employees, both union and non-union, have been extremely effective.

Frank has been able to successfully balance that line between responsibility to the company and
responsibility to his workers. Every worker who has ever been on Frank's crew has always
requested to work for him again. His productivity and profitability numbers are the best in the
company.

Losing Frank is a blow to my company, but I cannot allow a good man to ignore the opportunities
he has earned. If you need to discuss anything further about Frank, please call me at 555-234-
5566 or email me at simon.reynolds@email.com.

Sincerely Yours,

Simon W. Reynolds
